In cattle country branding and doctoring calves is a task and tradition which has been around for a long time. I worked on a ranch in the Cariboo in the mid-sixties and got to take part in this timeless annual chore. Image quality is not the best here because I shot this with a Brownie Holiday camera using 126 Ektachrome slide film. Some time in the 80s I had a bunch of images scanned and converted to 35mm format. I lost track of them till December of 2008 when they showed up in a box of old pictures. The original slides were not there so this was scanned from the 35mm slide and converted to B &W. Brought back a ton of memories for me...
